Candle Holder Luminaries
We've been creating our Candle Luminaries since 1994 - other designs, including Holidays, Christian, Celtic, Animals and Fairies can be see at Ealain Draoi, our primary website.
Beauty of the Breed Dog Face Candle Holders were created when we started making sketches of dog's faces - we realized that each breed has their own unique beauty. These sketches are intended to capture and celebrate the beauty of each dog breed.
The luminaries are created with each Dog Face Sketch inside a transparent circle, in classic black and white sketch style. The opaque tan background, with a finish that is pearlized iridescent, with swirls of colors. The candlelight does not shine through it. The candlelight shines through just the circle and illuminates the beautiful face of that dog.
A new breed takes many hours to complete as we first find and consider face photos of "breed standards". A new breed for Beauty of the Breed dog face sketch is usually a composite of several photos.
What are Candle Luminaries?
Ealain Draoi® Candle Holder Luminaries are votive candle holders uniquely different from any other candle holder.
These luminaries are glass and reusable with a very heavy glass base, with our own hand colored translucent artwork against an opaque iridescent background. When the votive candle is lit, the candle light shines through just the artwork illuminating the design with warm candle light.
